Please read this document carefully. When you book your holiday with us you will enter into a contract with us in which you and we will have various obligations and responsibilities. These obligations and responsibilities are explained below.

  1. Terms
  2. Our terms are for the property as equipped and supplied including linens, bath towels (and some towels which you may take to the beach) and electricity.

    The usual time of take-over is 4pm (subject to unavoidable delays) and you must leave the property by 10am on your day of departure. Early arrivals and late departures will be accommodated subject to other bookings. You must leave the property in a clean and tidy condition and you will be responsible for any damage or loss sustained during your stay.

  3. Your Booking
  4. You must book with us providing details as per the Booking Form available to view on this website.  You may do this by email, or by post.  If you book by post please complete and sign the from and return it to us with your Booking Deposit of 25% as part payment towards the Total Cost of Hire (see Payment). Your Booking will only be effective when we have sent you a Booking Confirmation. This is the point at which a binding contract comes into existence between you and us, and these Conditions of Hire form the basis of the contract. We will send the Booking Confirmation immediately we have received your Booking Form or Booking details by email, and your Booking Deposit is cleared in our bank account. The Balance of your payment will be due not less than 8 weeks prior to the start date of your holiday (see Payment). We will also ask you to pay a Security Deposit on your arrival (see Security Deposit).

  5. Occupying the Property
  6. You and the members of your party named in your Booking Form only may occupy the property solely for the purposes of taking a holiday. You may invite friends to visit you in the property but you may not allow them to stay overnight. In any event the total number of people in your party must not exceed the number for which we have stated the property "sleeps" or is suitable. If you fail to observe this rule we will have the right to refuse entry to the property and to immediately terminate our contract with you.

    If any person occupying or intending to occupy the property is not in our opinion suitable because of unreasonable behavior, damage to the property, or danger or significant annoyance to others, the contract will be terminated and we will have no further liability to you. In this event you will remain liable to pay the Total Cost of Hire and no refund will be due.

    We ask you to respect the privacy of our neighbours and to preserve the tranquility of the location. In particular we request that you respect the local custom of taking a siesta between the hours of 12 and 2pm. During this time it is inappropriate to allow children to play outside, or to make loud noise in the street.

  7. Security Deposit
  8. You must keep the property clean and in good order and you will be responsible for any breakage, loss or damage. On your arrival we will ask you to lodge with us a Security Deposit of 200 Euro or £200 in cash and we will be entitled to deduct from your Security Deposit the cost of remedying any breakage, loss or damage. The whole amount or the balance after any deduction will be refunded to you promptly following your departure. You may choose to pay a Sterling Security Deposit directly into our UK bank account (see Payment) in which case we will instruct transfer back to your UK bank account on the first working day after your departure. 

  9. Payment
  10. The Balance of your payment (being the amount due after deduction of your Booking Deposit) must reach us not less than 8 weeks before the start date of your holiday. If you do not pay the Balance by the due date we will have the right to re let the property and to retain your Booking Deposit. If you book within 8 weeks of your holiday start date you must pay the Total Cost of Hire immediately in order to secure your Booking. You may make payment in Euro direct to our Paypal or French bank account, or in Sterling direct to our UK bank account (details will be provided as appropriate). When instructing payment by international transfer please ask your bank to collect all charges from you, and if you are sending payment from outside Europe add 27 Euro for handling charges which will be levied within France.  

  11. Changes by You
  12. If you need to change the members of your party after your booking has been confirmed you may do so by prior agreement with us. If you wish to transfer your booking to someone else nominated by you you may do so by prior agreement with us providing you pay any then outstanding balance.

  13. Cancellation
  14. Telephone us immediately if for any reason you have to cancel your holiday and confirm this to us in writing by first class post sent on the same day. Your cancellation is effective from the date we receive your written notification.

    If you cancel more than 8 weeks before the start date of your holiday we will immediately refund the Balance if you have already paid it to us and endeavour to re-let the property. If we are able to do so we will refund your Booking Deposit. If you cancel less than 8 weeks from the start date of your holiday you are still liable for the Total Cost of Hire and if we have not managed to re-let the property before the Balance becomes due you must pay it. If we are able to re let after you have paid the Balance we will refund the whole or part of your Total Cost of Hire.

    We strongly recommend that you insure against cancellation.

  15. Unavailability of the property
  16. We may cancel your Booking at any time if the property becomes unavailable for reasons we could not, even with all due care, reasonably foresee or avoid. Examples of such "force majeure" are; fire, flooding, destruction or other significant damage to the property (which cannot be remedied to a satisfactory standard before your arrival), riots or civil strife, industrial action, adverse weather conditions, natural or nuclear disaster, terrorist activity. If this happens we will notify you immediately and refund all sums you have paid but we will not pay any compensation or have any liability to you.

  17. Liability
  18. We undertake to make the property available to you as described and to be available to assist should problems arise during your stay. We cannot accept liability for any damage, expense, injury, death or loss of any nature whatsoever other than the proven negligence of ourselves. If we are proven liable to you our liability will be limited to the loss or damage that was a foreseeable result of such negligence. In any event our liability shall be limited in the aggregate to the price paid for the right to use the property for the period agreed.

    We strongly recommend that you take out personal holiday insurance and we may request proof of this on your arrival.

  19. Difficulties, and Maintenance
  20. We want you to have a fantastic holiday and to recommend us to your friends and family. We will do our best to ensure that all is in good order on the day of your arrival. Should you experience a problem during your stay however you must notify us immediately. We live next door and are available at all times to answer questions and to provide assistance and maintenance as necessary.

  21. Pets
  22. We do not permit pets or any other animal to enter the property.

  23. Minors
  24. We cannot accept bookings from anyone under 18 years of age.

  25. Smoking
  26. We do not permit smoking in the property.

  27. Your Personal Data

We undertake to keep your personal data secure and not to disclose it to any party other than for legal reasons.
